According to legal documents filed in the US, Adele has filed for divorce from her husband Simon Konecki.
The couple, who announced their separation in April, got married in 2016 after five years of dating, even though Adele publicly addressed the wedding for the first time only during her acceptance speech at the 2017 Grammys, when she said, “Grammys, I appreciate it. The Academy, I love you. My manager, my husband and my son, you’re the only reason I do it”.
It is well known that the singer cares a lot about her privacy and that of her child, Angelo, born in 2012 when the couple were still dating. Indeed, as a representative for Adele said, “the couple is committed to raising their son together lovingly. As always they ask for privacy. There will be no further comment”. Another source claimed: “they seem to get along and spend time together with Angelo as well”.
The British singer is now living in Los Angeles and is reportedly working on a new album, as she has been pictured entering a recording studio in New York City. This record will be her fourth one after the exceptional success of her previous records 19, 21 and 25 (her third sold a record-breaking 800,000 copies in its first week).
