He’s brought us his Tooth Fairy and Spexy Beast live shows; now rib-tickling funnyman Alan Carr ends his new Yap Yap Yap tour tomorrow (December 19) at London’s Eventim Apollo, Hammersmith, and tickets are still available.
Carr burst on to the UK comedy scene in 2001, winning the BBC New Comedy Award, beating comedian Russell Howard, who also took part in the contest. With 2 British Comedy Awards, 2 National Television Awards and a BAFTA TV Award for Best Entertainment Performance to his name, Carr’s mantelpiece must be buckling under the weight of all those trophies.
Alan Carr’s Chatty Man started out in 2009, and 15 series later, the Friday night show is still going strong. Carr has welcomed everyone from Rhianna to One Direction onto his sofa. My own personal highlight was when he dressed up as a dog, to trick dog-loving actor Tom Hardy into petting him. Get ready to hold your lightsabres aloft, as tonight’s telly show (December 19) features a tribute to Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Check out the venue’s website to book tickets.
