The Stokes guitarist Albert Hammond Jr has shared new single “Loosing Touch” from his third solo album, Momentary Masters which is due for release on July 31. This album is the follow up from Yours to Keep (2006) and ¿Cómo Te Llama? (2008). Hammond has previously referenced The Beach Boys, Buddy Holly, Drank Black, Guided By Voices, John Lennon, Matthew Sweer and the Velvet Underground as his major influences, it would be interesting to see if any of these can be heard on his new album. Meanwhile, The Strokes are currently set to play British Summer Time festival in Hyde Park on June 18, and Hammond is due to tour in the US at the later part of this year.
