Alessia Cara is back again and she’s released the first single for her upcoming album The Pains of Growingtitled “Growing Pains” .
“Growing Pains” is a pop song laced with R&B and it was written by Cara, Oak and Andrew “Pop” Wansel. It is about overcoming and the problems that arise when we grow up. It could also be about a heartbreak and the way in which you try to overcome it.
In an interview, she talks about her anxiety about transitioning from teen to young adult in the public eye. She explained how fame, adjusting to adulthood and figuring out exactly who she is her current “growing pains”. However, in the song, she has references to her last album titled Know-It-All.
