Bright young singer Alfie Sharp has everything to become a big success. This songwriter and musician produced by First Light Label has just released his debut single titled “Nostalgia” on October 25.
Before that, Alphie Sharp LAO supported artist as Nina Smith on her first album, and recently performed various showcases for BBC Music Introducing at Metronome, which showcased some of the best new talents from across the county.
Sarah Mahmood from Voice Community was at the gig and she said: “Compared to the rest of the performances he definitely had the best stage presence and felt like a born performer”.
“Nostalgia” is such a catchy song, I can’t stop playing it again and again. With his enchantress’s voice, he offers us a journey into his fluid-genre style.
It’s a contemporary R&B blinding power chord and a rhythmic melody offering a harmonically rich texture. It’s quite impressive for a first single as it’s deftly-produced.
His alto voice is enigmatic and emotionally rich. And just as said Dean Jackson from BBC Music Introducing says, “Nostalgia is so tender and beautiful. I adore it. His voice is something else”.
The lyrics are highly worked and poetic, he’s definitely more than just a musician. This song is transporting.
