Independent London artist Alice D has released her new song titled “Diamond” which deals with self-acceptance and emphasises resilience, power, courage and strength.
This R&B/flamenco pop sound demonstrates Alice’s bewitching smooth voice while spreading her message about fiercely embracing all our flaws and still “shining like gold”.
“Diamond” is the lead single from Alice’s 3-track EP, which she wrote with her good friend and producer, Tim Blok (AKA Block).
You can easily tell Alice D has music in her blood, since she grew up surrounded by music between mother Sara Dallin, who was a singer in Bananarama and her dancer father (Michael Jackson, Tina Turner). Following their path, Alice is already making her name in the music industry after releasing quite a few singles so far and having two 5-track EPs under her belt.
Alice developed her sound over the few last years, exploring different genres from R&B to EDM with some of her main artistic influences being Aaliyah, Brandy, Kelela and Banks
She released her first solo project in December 2018, NARCISSUS EP with the help of her good friend and long-term collaborator Oscar Scheller (Mabel, MNEK, Arlo Parks). In the wake of this release, Spindle Magazine declared Alice D as “the prolific songwriter we need”.
Alice successfully closed 2020 with her futuristic pop R&B single “Drunk Talk” and is now working on her forthcoming EP since the start of 2021. This project will have a more organic and collective sound than her previous releases and will include poetic lyrics and musical influences from Brazil & Spain. The EP is set for release in April 2021.
