Amal Clooney, Rihanna And Donatella Versace To Host Met Gala 2018 | Fashion News

The Editor-in-chief of Vogue Magazine, Anna Wintour has revealed the title of the annual fundraising gala for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City, the Met Gala 2018, which will lead fashion to meet the religious iconography.

Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination is the title chosen for this special event. Everything will focus on the influences from fashion and the masterpieces of religious art exposed inside the museum’s collection. With three different locations which are: the Anna Wintour Costume Center, MET in the Fifth Avenue and MET Cloisters a Manhattan, on May 7, 2018 we will see three influential personalities hosting each red carpet.

The first one is the barrister at Doughty Street Chambers, specialising in international law and human rights, Amal Clooney. George Clooney’s wife already made her debut at the Met Gala red carpet in 2015 with a red Maison Margiela gown created by John Galliano.

The second host is the Bajan singer, actress and model Rihanna who has already attended 7 previous Met Galas. The singer has always appeared at the top with dresses designed by Stella McCartney, Tom Ford, Guo Pei, Dolce & Gabbana and more.

Donatella Versace, who is the notorious Italian fashion designer and current vice president of the Versace Group, will be the third host. The designer has 16 galas already under her belt, starting from 1995. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of her brother’s death, Gianni Versace earlier this year, she presented a tribute Versace Spring 2018 collection to him.
