Amazon and Paramount have just signed on a licensing deal to supply movies to Amazon India’s Prime Video streaming service.
Recent films provided by the new deal include Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows, Star Trek Beyond and 10 Cloverfield Lane. Transformers, Indiana Jones, Mission:Impossible, Madagascar, Shrek and Kung Fu Panda are only some of the many franchises that make up the older films featured in the deal as well.
“Our goal is to provide our customers with the best movies – be it local or international,” explained Nitesh Kripalani, the director and country head of Amazon Prime Video India.
Amazon India also has similar licensing deals with international companies like Lionsgate and the BBC. It’s local firms include Vishesh Films, T-Series and Dharma Productions.
