Amsterdam Singer Nina June Launches New Single ‘Rainbow Ashes’ | Music News

Amsterdam-based singer and songwriter Nina June has released her new single “Rainbow Ashes” and the first offering from her forthcoming 2021 EP.

She made her debut with the independent record Bon Voyage in 2018 and her first EP Shadow And Riddles in 2019, with which she succeeded to captivate audiences, sell-out headline shows, and travel to London to work with the famous producer Duncan Mills, who has worked with Florence + The Machine, The Vaccines, Jake Bugg and James Murphy.

Her new track “Rainbow Ashes” is driven by her blending solo vocals and swell of string arrangements. This mix creates a perfect atmospheric production, with the help of Sally Herbert (Radiohead, Björk, London Grammar, Rex Orange County). Lyrically, the story is about a lost love who never combing back, and the result is a broken heart.

According to the artist, “It’s the pain of seeing something beautiful vanish in front of your eyes. A love that lasted for a long time and then somehow got broken. You ultimately blame yourself; you didn’t make it right forever. It’s the hard school of life: to learn that not everything is made for eternity”.

We are very enthusiastic to listen to her new 2021 EP, check out “Rainbow Ashes” below in the mean time.
