Apprentice candidate Selina Waterman-Smith has claimed the show is a set-up and branded it a fix. The Sun have quoted a string of angry tweets – which have been deleted – where she wrote: “The finalists are picked from the start, the whole show is fixed and set up”. She also had strong words about the “dreadful” producers of the show and fellow contestant, Charleine Wain, whom she called a “scumbag“.
Matters were heated between Selina and Charleine behind the scenes and the former tried to quit afterwards but was persuaded by producers to stay on. She told Heat Magazine: “After that incident, I sat with (producers) for an hour and I said I wanted to quit. I had my suitcase ready and I was leaving the building. The producers said, ‘Please don’t leave, you’re a strong candidate’. In order to get me to stay, they had to promise me that I would be separated from Charleine (in the teams) and that the clip would never be shown”.
