Ariana Grande has teamed up Miley Cyrus and Lana Del Rey to release a new single titled “Don’t Call Me Angel”, which comes with a fiercely new music video to accompany.
Since news about a reboot of Charlie’s Angels was announced, fans of the original series have been really excited about hearing more from the project and now they have new details about it! The song will be included in the soundtrack of the film, which singer Ariana Grande co-executive produced.
According to the Rolling Stone magazine, the track was previewed in one of the trailers for the upcoming film in the first place.
Cyrus and Grande have collaborated together before, performing a cover of Crowded House’s “Don’t Dream It’s Over” at Ariana’s 2017 benefit concert and they even uploaded the cover on Youtube. But this is the first time that the three international divas have collaborated all together on an original track.
The film’s soundtrack is due to come out on November 1 via Republic. But meanwhile, Grande has decided to tease the fans a little bit with this amazing collaboration. The video was directed by Hanna Lux Davis, who also helmed the projects for the “7 Rings” and “Thank U, Next” visuals.
The clip shows the stunning trio wearing and all-black sexy outfit with black wings included, breaking the stereotype of the ‘good, white-dressed angel’ to mirror the track lyrics. Grande leads the crime-fighting team and starts with a“Boy, don’t call me angel/You ain’t got me right” defiant verse, followed by a boxing muscled Cyrus and a badass armed Del Rey.
