Asa Butterfield (Sex Education) and Natalia Dyer (Stranger Things) have signed on to star in horror-thriller All Fun And Games. The film is reportedly very high concept and revolves around a group of siblings who find themselves stuck in a game with a demonic twist.
The film is based on a story by JJ Braider, with a script written by the film’s co-directors Ari Costa and Eren Celeboglu, who will be making their feature debut with the project. AGBO’s Joe and Anthony Russo will produce, as will John Zois for Anton, who had this to say about the project:
“It has been a great experience developing this project with Eren and Ari and we could not be more excited to continue the journey with them on their first feature. Asa and Natalia are perfect for the film and with the guidance of Joe, Anthony, and AGBO, there is no question this is going to be a fan favorite.”
Both Butterfield and Dyer are best known for their respective Netflix shows, but they’ve also had success on the big screen, with Butterfield starring in Martin Scorsese‘s Hugo and the film version of The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas, while Dyer recently starred in well-liked indie coming-of-age comedy Yes, God, Yes.
Although little is known about All Fun And Games right now, it sounds like a teen-centric horror-thriller in the vein of Escape Room, Truth Or Dare, and Countdown. Its release strategy is currently unknown, but those are the kinds of movies that usually rake in views on Netflix. Principal photography will begin at the end of March.
