Australian artist Nick de la Hoyde has just released his brand new single titled “Lay Low”, as the follow up to the success of his last single “Forever Young”, which was backed by Spotify and went viral on TikTok.
Taken from his forthcoming EP, which is due for release later this year, and coming on the back of Nick winning ‘Best Pop Album’ at the 18th International Independent Music Awards for his debut album A Beautiful Mess, “Lay Low” is a retro-inspired track with a care free pop vibe that makes ready for the weekend.
Merging his love for hip-hop and R&B with his electronic and dance music mainstay and introspective songwriting, Nick de la Hoyde describes his sound as “simultaneously intimate, expansive and engaging”. Often collaborating with his brother and producer ZU/ZU, Nick has captured the attention of tastemakers such as BBC Radio 1, KISS FM, Billboard and Sirius XM, among others.
With over half a million fans, Nick is known for his “confessional real life anthems that oscillate between moody, textured R&B and anthemic synth laden future-pop moments combined with a lyrical earnestness that speaks directly to today’s younger generation“, and “Lay Low” is the latest in a long line of fan-favourite tracks from the Sydney based artist.
