“Keeper” is the name of Baker Grace‘s new single. While waiting for her upcoming EP Yourz Truly, her fans can enjoy a bit of her music with her latest release. As well as “Keeper”, Baker wrote all of her songs in a bibliography style.
Indeed, as she mentioned in an interview and as the EP’s title itself suggests, each song is “a letter to myself or somebody else, because writing letters has always been one of the best ways for me to be completely truthful”.
The confident young artist admits that this type of writing allowed her, in her words, “to get down to the core of what I want to say, which is the main goal in all my music: to be as raw and honest as possible”. By sharing her story and showing her sensitive side, she conquered her audience very quickly, as the fans listening to her music can see her purest self.
“Keeper” is not the only song in which Baker showed her vulnerability, indeed, she started off her new EP with the song “Wrong Kind Of People”, track about recognising that she is the only one that owns her life and knows what decisions to make, the path to take and what is best for her.
With the help and production of Stefan Accardo and Scott Harris, the upcoming EP Yourz Truly will be released on August 28th and will completely reflect 19-years-old Baker’s hip-hop and R&B style, while including collaborations with Cautious Clay, rising star of 2020.
The same producers also previously worked with popular artists like The Chainsmokers, Chance The Rapper, Chelsea Cutler, Shawn Mendes, Sasha Sloan and Kygo, reason why it would not be a surprise if the album, as the previously published songs, was a great success once released.
