Back with a bang with the second single from his much-anticipated debut album Home Is Where The Art Is, East London’s Barney Artist delivers a laid back, lo-fi summer vibe in the form of brand new single “Rose Thorn” featuring the dreamlike R&B sounds of Dornik.
Personified by the easy, mellow sounds of the electric guitar, “Rose Thorn” is an easy listen yet it also serves as an honest and sentimental track from Barney Artist as he details his unshakable love while brilliantly reminding us that love isn’t always as easy as it looks in the films.
Following on from announcing his debut record – which features a stellar cast list of artist friends including Tom Misch, Emmavie and George The Poet – Barney quotes on the new single:
“Rose Thorn is one of my faves from the album! I wrote this song after me and my ex broke up… plays violin it’s pretty much a representation of my love including all the ups and downs! I was so happy to get my boy Dornik on it he’s absolutely incredible and nails the vibe completely!! This one should be played on a hot day with a lovely cider.. LOUDLY”
