BBC Three at its best. The online service is due to produce a new documentary that looks at hate crimes in the US, covering matters such as the murder of a transgender woman by her boyfriend, a Texan man killed for being gay.
The three part series, entitled Love and Hate Crime is part of a new season of BBC documentaries announced on Monday including a week-long story on one of london’s biggest hospital trusts, an insight into parents in prison and a feature about cyclist sir Chris Hoy. Such a commissioning seems apt with the shootings in Orlando yesterday, the show looking at the dangers singled out in the US.
