The casting of Ben Affleck in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was greeted with cynicism and scepticism, the release of the film burning away much of that scepticism like the rising sun against a sea of mist, winning guarded praise for his turn as the dark knight.
The star is contracted to play the Caped Crusader in the two forthcoming Justice League films but according to his agent the star has written his own standalone Batman movie, commenting:
“He’s contracted to do at least Justice League One and Two, so at least three times wearing the cape,” said WME-IMG’s Patrick Whitesell, adding: “There’s a script that he’s written that is a really cool [Batman] idea, so that’s out there as an option.”
