Bermudian songwriter and performer Hana Bushara has released a brand new song called “To Know What’s Best”. The song is influenced by intricate story-lines and narratives of folk music and she tells the story of a push and pull love with her soft voice and rhytmic intensity.
Hana uses this song to indulge the nuances of falling in love with a person dedicated to unravelling it. The song transforms betrayal and abandonment into art while bringing up the salient truth of choosing yourself when the one you love refuses to. Her soft voice and melodic guitar sounds bring you to a calming place where you can channel your deepest emotions and lay in your thoughts for a while.
Finding inspiration in all places, Hana Bushara began her creative process turning conversations and introspection into her muses. The 22 year old channels her reality and transforms it into lyrics that can be characterized as alternative and indie fusion. She has artists such as Leonard Cohen, Emily King, and Jordan Rakei to thank for engineering her sound.
Heading to London in September, she plans to take her songs to open mics and coffee shops before they touch ground on other streaming platforms. Listen to “To Know What’s Best” here:
