Brighton based singer-songwriter Bess Atwell has announced the release of a new video to coincide with her current single “Swimming Pool“.
Recorded at Soup Studio in East London with producer Giles Barrett, “Swimming Pool” is the first taste of what to expect from her eagerly awaited new EP expected later this year. With the first new material since the acclaimed Hold Your Mind debut album from 2016, the singer has returned with a bigger sound that’s soaked in four part vocal harmony and delivered her strongest and most accomplished song to date.
With Eva Howells at the helm, the brand new video is a serene affair and really allows the song to shine through. The video captures Bess all suited and booted with a suitcase in and around nature for this mostly performative piece, including shots of a drenched Bess Atwell as she has emerged from a swimming pool.
Taking inspiration from the likes of The National, Fleet Foxes and Sharon Van Etten, the multi – talented Atwell has spent the last two years refining her sound and playing sold out headline shows and festivals. To coincide with the release of the new single, Bess will announce new UK live dates in the very near future.
