BLACKPINK Singer Rosé Sets New YouTube Record | Music News

 

Blackpink group member Rosé has set a new YouTube records with her latest music video “On The Ground“.

 

Rosé, whose real name is Roseanne Park is a Korean singer who was born in New Zealand and raised in Australia. At the age of 15 she was signed with South Korean label YG Entertainment. Training for years, Rosé made her debut as a vocalist in the girls band Blackpink in 2016.

 

Rosé´s debut single album R was released on March 12, consisting of soft rock and indie ballad “Gone” and a melodic yet EDM-inspired song “On The Ground”, which was presented with stunning visuals on Blackpink’s official YouTube channel the same day as the album release date.

 

According to Korea JoongAng Daily, with that music video, the singer has set the record for the most-viewed YouTube video in 24 hours after release, earning 41.6 million views, beating the previous Korean YouTube champion PSY with his hit video “Gangam Style“, which was viewed 36 million times in the first day, and now in less than a week “On The Ground” reached 94 million views!

 

On March 17, the Blackpink singer showed up on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Falloon, where she performed her single “On The Ground”. A year ago she made her debut on The Tonight Show together with her other Blackpink members performing their hit song “How You Like That”.
