Bolivian-American Singer And Actress Emilia Suárez Unveils New Single ‘Timing’

Brooklyn-based Bolivian-American singer-songwriter and actress Emilia Suárez has released her latest music video for the indie-alternative single “Timing“.

The song is a vulnerable, dreamy, and evocative piano ballad featuring symphonic and atmospheric sounds. The video is a dramatized version of Suárez’s experience of writing the song, capturing her in the moment with an unabashed presence she had never experienced until being with a particular person.

The video portrays the relationship’s inability to survive and move on, making it all the more painful for Suárez, who admits it was difficult to let go of the person who taught her she deserved much better.

Suárez’s writing process for “Timing” was unusual, as she didn’t plan on writing about this relationship but found herself unable to think about anything else. The song is about grappling with the inability to move on from a relationship’s nature, and Suárez admits that if she’s actively reliving it, she’s the reason it stays with her.

Suárez has gained recognition in the entertainment industry as an actress and singer-songwriter, with over 100,000 streams on Spotify and worldwide playlist placements.

Her music video for “Timing” will be the first of many releases in 2023, and she will be seen in the upcoming musical-comedy series Up Here on Hulu from the director of Hamilton, set to premiere on March 24. She is also featured on the cast album of the same name, which features original music by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez.

Suárez will also appear alongside Florence Pugh and Morgan Freeman in the MGM/Killer Films feature A Good Person set to release in theaters on March 24. Furthermore, Suárez will be performing in Destiny of Desire by Karen Zacharías at The Old Globe in the coming months.
