Bon Iver Speaks Out Against Apple Music | Music News

Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon has criticized Apple’s new streaming service Apple Music, in favour of Spotify. The folk singer took to his Twitter account to vent his frustration at the new service and praise both Spotify and perhaps more importantly physical LPs for their part in the current industry. Speaking of Apple itself, Vernon said, “the company that made me believe in companies, and not joking: PEOPLE is no more”.

It is not the first time he has spoken out in favour of Spotify, saying recently: “thanks to Spotify I’m having my first amazing Portishead experience”. The two time Grammy award winner announced recently that Bon Iver would be returning this summer after featuring on Kanye West’s last two releases. Apple Music will be available from June 30 in over 100 countries worldwide.
