Brad Peyton And Dwayne Johnson To Reunite For ‘Rampage’ | Film News

The boys are back together… well maybe back together. Brad Peyton directed the Warner Bros. hit San Andreas starring Dwayne Johnson, yes it may have been a slightly unrealistic and melodramatic affair, but for Warner Bros., it was their biggest film of the year, raking in an impressive $460 million globally. New Line hopes to keep the magic going and is in talks with Brad Peyton to direct the film adaptation of Rampage, San Andreas producer Beau Flynn is already involved, and with Brad Peyton and Dwayne Johnson, the joyous threesome could be back together.

Based on the 1980’s game Rampage, which was – to put it simply – about three big monsters (who used to be humans before being subjected to experimentation) that break things (punch, hit… you get the drift) and eat people. Doesn’t exactly sound like a movie quite yet, but writer Ryan Engle has apparently found an ingenious way of turning this game into a fully fledged film. Well I’ll have to see it to believe it. The film is still very early stages, and when I say early, I mean not even on IMDB early, so there are sure to be a lot of changes before its eventual release in 2017…maybe.
