Turns out it isn’t all singing and dancing for Italian choreographer Bruno Tonioli has revealed that although he loves being a judge on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, he’s in desperate need of a break from fellow judges Craig Revel-Horwood, Darcey Bussell and Len Goodman, but insists its not because he dislikes them.

Speaking in an interview with The Sun, Tonioli explained that although they all get along tremendously, they all lead very different lives outside of the show: “we all have other things to do too but we all get on very, very well – there’s nothing untoward going on there. We love and respect each other. We all have our different lives, we’re not peas in a pod“.

He continued, confirming that the latest series of the hit dancing competition left him utterly exhausted “It takes a lot out of you…the series started in September so by now, I’m always, ‘Oh my God, I can’t believe I did it.’ I feel like I have run a marathon. But they’re so good, you know – you need that energy, you need to give back to the dancers and the public. It’s all good“. After taking this much needed time off, Tonioli is hoping to return for next year, but it hasn’t been officially confirmed by the BBC yet.
