Cara Delevingne looks to build up her television career, having already endured an impressive transition from modelling to Hollywood acting. She joins upcoming Amazon series Carnival Row, alongside recently announced Orlando Bloom.

Carnival Row is an eight part fantasy series featuring “mythical creatures who have fled their war-torn homeland and gathered in the city as tensions are simmering between citizens and the growing immigrant population. At the center of the drama is the investigation into a string of unsolved murders, which are eating away at whatever uneasy peace still exists.”

The model and pop-culture icon is attached to play Vignette Stonemoss, a faerish outsider who has fled her war-torn home to go to the Burgue, where she is met with prejudice and must guard her secrets.

Delevingne’s acting career began with a small role in 2012’s Anna Karenina; in 2015 she landed her first major role in Paper Towns which paved the way for her to star as the Enchantress in Suicide Squad. Currently, the bushy-browed star can be seen in the recently premiered Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets where she stars as Laureline.

Carnival Row is set to begin filming this fall, with an expected 2019 release on Amazon.
