CBS Orders ‘Training Day’ Sequel Pilot | TV News
The network is adding yet another movie reboot to its repertoire of Pilots coming this year. Reports suggests that the series will begin 15 years where the feature film left off, and will see the return of Director Antoine Fuqua at the helm, while former LAPD detective Will Becall will be responsible for writing.
The series will be making a switch between the racial roles that initially appeared in the original film, and will instead depict an African-American Rookie officer being placed under the wing of a morally ambiguous Caucasian detective.
If successful, the show will follow the footsteps of the already television adapted Limitless that originally starred Bradley Cooper, as well as the upcoming Rush Hour that is set to premiere the 31st of March.
