The Central Coast based artist Ha Keem has just released his new single “Amen”. The singer discovered music at 9-years old through a saxophone, began to sing in high school, and hasn’t looked back since.
Instead of getting into music straight out of high school, Ha Keem took classes at the University of Polytechnics in San Luis, California, and it was only a few years later that he decided to follow his passion for music and singing and make it his profession.
The singer takes his inspiration from several well-known singers like Khalid, THEY., Billie Eilish, or John Legend. Thanks to it he manages to create songs with powerful lyrics.
“Amen” retrieves all the different kind of emotions that can appear due to a past relationship which did not work for the first time. It is a very deep emotional single that Ha Keem wanted to share with us.
Ha Keem has blended neo-soul, contemporary R&B, and alternative/indie R&B to manage to succeed in this performance. Indeed, through 2.57 minutes, the electric guitar and his deep voice have made a perfect mix which results in a pleasant moment as if time had stopped for a moment to take a break.
He already won a local music award (New Times Music Award) for having the number one rap/hip-hop song in San Luis Obispo County for his earlier release, “Listen To Me”, and we wish him the same success with this new single.
