Chris Hemsworth will begin filming Snow White and the Huntsman 2 right after working on Avengers: Age of Ultron. His co-star Kristen Stewart will also be returning to the sequel production. Rupert Sanders directed the first film but will not be directing the sequel, instead Frank Darabont who directed The Shawshank Redemption is one of the front runners to direct the film. Gavin O’ Connor who directed Warrior and Pride and Glory is also a contender for Snow White and the Huntsman 2, while a final name being touted as one who may direct the film is Andy Muschietti who is responsible for the film Mama. The film is scheduled for a 2016 release.
