Brooklyn rapper Talib Kweli is one of the most politically insightful, finest lyricist and MCs, and inspiring talents that has graced the music industry in the past 2 decades. And I am extremely hyped to announce that this lyrical genius will be gracing the intimate setting of The Jazz Cafe in Camden for a live show on July the 24th. The night is brought to you by MAMA & The Doctors Orders, and there will also be support from Spin Doctor.
Talib Kweli has had a solo career that has seen him create some of Hip-Hops most lyrically spectacular and thought provoking records after exploding to the front lines during the massive domination of indie Hip-Hop artists on Rawkus Records in the mid to late 90’s, as one part of both Black Star alongside Mos Def, and Reflection Eternal alongside producer Hi-Tek.
He is one of Hip-Hop fans favourite stars, and after being mentioned in music legend Jay-Z’s “Moment of Clarity”, pointing out his lyrical skills (claiming “If skills sold, if truth be told I’d probably be lyrically Talib Kweli“) then it really comes as no shock as to why he is such a fan favourite. He is also an extremely rare and unique talent that is demonstrated with the way he can create tracks that combine club ready, dance-floor friendly anthems with such lyrical complexity.
This show is such a rare opportunity for you to see this tour de force in such an intimate venue, and London is extremely proud and excited to welcome Talib Kweli to Camden so do not miss out. Tickets are £23.00 in Advance and can be purchased from The Doctor’s Orders, Ticketmaster or The Jazz Cafe.
