Coldplay have announced that they will be performing at the Superbowl 50 halftime show. After Katy Perry lit up the temporary stage last year with sharks and palm trees, it’ll be interesting to see what approach Coldplay will take. Superbowl halftime shows are watched around the globe, perhaps more tune in for it than the game itself, with artists usually miming their singing duties, and instead focusing on the aesthetic side of the performance.

Superbowl 50 will take place at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, CA, home of NFC West team the San Francisco 49ers, on February 7, 2016 – however, being a 49ers fan myself, the niners will definitely not make an appearance that night given their dreadful record this season!
