Once a beloved star of Hollywood who passed away far too soon in his life and career James Dean gets his own biographical film Life, played by Dane DeHaan (Chronicle) co-starring with Robert Pattinson (Cosmopolis) as photographer Dennis Stock. It is a film that has been long in the making and it just got an exclusive new trailer on Apple Trailers.
Although James Dean will be the primary interest and focus for the film, it’s largely about James Dean’s relationship with Dennis Stock who would become famous for his iconic black and white photography of James Dean, as the pair work together for Life magazine that the films title takes its name from.
Could be worth checking out regardless of the interest in James Dean, as a piece to showcase acting performance then you couldn’t have done better choosing these two actors. Each are known for some derided roles they have done in the past, Dane DeHaan was in the dreadful Amazing Spider-Man 2, Robert Pattinson famous for his work on the Twilight franchise, but they have had great films to their names and Life looks set to be further proof of their talent.
The film has screened at a number of film festivals and has even received some positive reviews. Starring alongside Dane and Robert are actors Ben Kingsley, Joel Edgerton, Peter Lucas, and Lauren Gallagher. Anton Corbijn directs the film while the screenplay is written by Luke Davies. Life will release in U.S. theaters on December 4.
