David Cudmore Will Not Reprise Colossus Role In ‘Deadpool’ | Film News

As Tim Miller‘s new Deadpool movie’s casting call expands to more characters, news of the inclusion of X-Men Universe character Colossus has broke. We’ve seen Colossus before in X-Men: Days of Future Past when the brick-house-built mutant was played by actor David Cudmore.

Cudmore was recently asked about his involvement to reprise his role Colossus in the up and coming Miller flick and took to Twitter to make his response in saying; “Thanks to everyone for all the support for me 2 reprise the role of #Colossus in #Deadpool but unfortunately it won’t be happening for me”. As to the reason in which Cudmore won’t be back as Colossus is up for speculation, but considering it’s looking as if Colossus will have a much bigger role in Deadpool than he did in X-Men: Days of Future Past, it’s likely that they want to start fresh with a new actor.

Joblo raises a good question as to whether the inclusion of Colossus mean that the new movie will make the connection with the other X-Men flicks and that terrible appearance in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. I actually like the idea of Reynolds’ making fun of that movie via the Deadpool character because it really was that bad. Either way, the more I’m seeing about the Deadpool flick, the more I’m getting excited. Feeling it too? Take another look at the leaked test footage to keep you going in the mean time.
