DC Comic ‘Scalped’ To Be Made Into TV Series | TV News
The WGN channel has purchased the rights to make the DC comic Scalped into a TV show. The series will see F.B.I agent called Dashiell return to the Prairie Rose Indian Reservation, South Dakota to investigate a criminal organisation. It is run by Casino crime boss Lincoln Red Crow and President of the Oglala Tribe Council and Police Sheriff of this group. The show is a crime drama and will explore themes around murder, poverty, pregnancy and drug addiction. Doug Jung (Banshee) will write and serve as executive producer of the TV show and so far, no actors are attached to the TV project. This is becoming part of a trend among TV networks, as comics Preacher and Constantine are also being developed in TV shows by other networks.
