The Resort or Cruise collections often shown as a travel collections, are an inter-season or pre-season line of Ready-to-Wear originally meant for “jet-setters” going on cruises or very expensive vacations. Now, Dior has decided to change the date and location of the showing of its Resort 2016 Collection from Los Angeles to the French Riviera on May 11. This new move from the luxury brand brings it closer to the Cannes Film Festival, so it will be easier for famous figures to attend the show. The Resort showing starts with Chanel in Seoul on May 4; Louis Vuitton in Palm Springs, California on May 6; and culminates with Dior in the South of France, on May 11.
