English rapper, Dizzee Rascal, has a new video for single, “Hype”, teaming up with Scottish producer, Calvin Harris. “Hype” will be released digitally as soon as this Friday, June 24. The music video is directed by Emil Nava.
“Hype” tinkles with a subtle, if possible, rave vibe. Then it, more like rave music, clatters into a crescendo. The beat proper, if you like, is dance married with rap. It is like house keyboards scratched on hip-hop decks.
The video veers, it seems, from visuals shot in a studio, to real life scenes. Like, for instance, seeming to ride a nice car, stationary, without being on the open road, to throwing shapes in a real life rave.
