South Korean rising DJ and music professional Cafrii has recently released “Sunrise”, a fresh, brand-new single featuring the captivating vocals of Brazilian singer Paula Mendes.
Cafrii started his career in the music industry under the stage name of Enemy Chaser, which he changed to Cafrii earlier this year. The South Korean music artist had his first DJ showcase back in 2011, after he gained a supportive fan base by releasing his tracks via Soundcloud.
His EDM and Big Rooms songs particularly became very popular and he gained a lot of popularity, with several tracks topping the charts of SPINNIN RECORDS, which is the world’s largest EDM label. After that, Cafrii featured on a Korean airwave broadcasting station and collaborated on many tracks with Chris Gehringer from Sterling Sound.
When he changed his name to Cafrii, which comes from the sun god ‘Khepri’, he started creating his own unique, original style and started producing original synthesizer sounds by using only oriental instruments. His creativity and talent caught the attention of Universal Music Group and the Swedish label offered him a contract months ago.
With “Sunrise”, Cafrii continues on developing his own personal style and teams up with Paula Mendes to touch your heart via an explosive combination of sweet, heartbreaking lyrics with Mendes’ soft, captivating voice.
“When I first saw you // Looked like the sun // A love that seemed to last forever // Then didn’t know you’d leave me alone // Oh love, you don’t love me anymore,” Mendes sings accompanied by Cafrii’s oriental, melodic beats and making the song even more heart-melting and sweet.
