On June 25, US rapper and singer Doja Cat has finally released her third studio LP Planet Her on which were featured Ariana Grande, SZA, The Weeknd and more.
Shortly after the release, the artist has also issued a deluxe edition of her album with five bonus tracks. Among these new tracks, we will be able to hear an extended version of Doja’s collaboration with The Weeknd “You Right” as well as a new track titled “Tonight” with Eve, “Why Why” with Gunna, and two new solo tracks “Ride” and “Up And Down”.
Doja Cat’s collaborations have been quite a success and the one with Eve is a new marvel added to the album. “Tonight” is a slinky duet where both artists sing over plucked guitars, chiming bells and a spare beat.
Doja starts with the first verse singing: “I know you’re going home to your lady, tonight / So, baby, can you just be with me tonight? / I know that it seems wrong and crazy, tonight / So, baby, can you just be with me tonight?”
Almost at the end of the song, Eve arrives rapping with her signature laid-back vibe: “Let’s get it on tonight / Blame it on the liquor, we’on’t know what’s wrong from right / Melting on me, ice cream, baby slip and slide / Are changin’ your clothes or are you changin’ your mind?”
The extended version of Planet her has a total of 14 tracks. The album was named after a fictional planet that Doja Cat has imagined. According to her, it is a planet where all the species of outer space can exist in harmony with one another.
The album was released accompanied by a series of music videos that are set in different locations around the globe.
