Dorian Electra Just Released Their New Single ‘Tool For You’ | Music News

After the release of their first experimental pop album in baroque and heavy-metal style Flamboyant, the first single of 2020 “Tool For You” by rising pop star Dorian Electra (pronouns: they/them/theirs) was released on January 17, 2020!

Dorian Electra’s music, which defies norms and genres, has sparked a growing queer cult and made them one of PAPER Magazine‘s “100 Women Revolutionizing Pop“. Their musical style can be described as a futuristic mix of 00s pop and 80s funk. The artist also has a longstanding love for satire of gender roles and rigid views of sexuality.

Their recent single and video clip has been hailed by critics from Pitchfork, Billboard, Paper Magazine, The Fader and others, and they are all accompanied by very worked and hyper-stylised video clips.

They have worked and opened for the famous pop star Charlie XCX, collaborated with the Russian feminist punk rock band Pussy Riot, toured with British pop star Rina Sawayama and played major pride festivals across the US.

In 2020, Dorian Electra will release the deluxe edition of Flamboyant with 4 new sounds and a headlining tour! If you want to see them, their tour starts in February in the US and will continue in Europe in countries such as the UK, France, Spain, Italy and many others.
