Following a New York Supreme court’s ruling against Kesha‘s request to be released from Sony‘s contract on February 19, Dr Luke‘s attorney has now spoken out. The statement, which can be read in full here, contradicts everything that Kesha says.
The attorney, Christine Lepera, goes as far to say that “[t]he goal of Kesha’s counsel throughout has been to obtain a more lucrative contract through a shameless campaign of outrageous claims they will never stand behind in a court of law”. Lepera also dubs the accusations “outrageous”, “unconvincing”, and “vague”.
When dealing with something so serious with little but someone’s word, it’s difficult to know what to think. Regardless, this is causing a huge uproar amongst fans and musicans alike. Recently, Taylor Swift even donated $250,000 in support of Kesha.
Whatever the result, I sincerely hope that everything works out for the best.
