This week’s dose of OVO Sound is remarkable. In addition to the new Drake and Gucci Mane “Back On Road” collaboration, and a Justin Bieber “One Dance” remix, Drake drops off another record, “4PM in Calabasas”. Drizzy did say that he had a lot more music coming this summer, so this new track should not be much of a surprise.

With deep, low bass, it grooves moody and assertive. It seems deeply personal and from the heart. There is a refrain of sorts midway through, with the man in question rapping over a drum-less backdrop. After that there appears, in regard to the aforementioned backdrop, tuneful melodies akin to dolphin or whale music.
