Drake has ‘dropped’ his “Behind Barz” freestyle as a single, taken from the soundtrack to the newly released Top Boy season three TV show. Other artists featured on the official 17-track release accompanying the show include the likes of Dave, Fredo, AJ Tracey and Little Simz.
The American rapper first shared his “Behind Barz” freestyle in July last year on Link Up TV. Now fans can stream the officially premiered version of the track. It also appears on the soundtrack to the long-awaited third season of Top Boy.
Earlier this week (on September 11), Drake’s label unveiled the 17 tracks to accompany the Netflix series. They include AJ Tracey’s “Elastic”, Dave’s “Professor X” and “Venom” from Little Simz, who is also one of the actors staring in the show.
Drake recently joined Top Boy’s cast at the third season’s premiere in London. He serves as the show’s executive producer and he is the one who helped revive the British drug drama after it was cancelled by Channel 4 in 2011.
The new season of the London-based series lands on Netflix today (September 13). It sees Dushane (Ashley Walters) and Sully (Kane Robinson) return to the Summerhouse Estate after six years of absence and encounter merciless gang leader Jamie (Michael Ward).
