East Devon Rap Artist Gold Blend Releases New Track ‘Harry’

Introducing Gold Blend, an unlikely rap artist hailing from East Devon, a small village in the UK, with his new single titled “Harry”.

Dubbed the “best rapper in the village,” Gold Blend is taking rap out of the city and making it relatable to people in seaside towns across the UK. What began as a hobby during college when a knee injury halted his football career has transformed into a passion for music and a promising rap career.

Initially inspired by US rappers like Jay-Z and Kanye West, Gold Blend soon found a connection with UK talents like Kano, Chip, and Skepta.

He began creating bedroom beats and progressed to songwriting, a skill he inherited from his father. However, after college, music took a back seat until the COVID-19 lockdown provided Gold Blend with the time and encouragement he needed to focus on his craft.

Gold Blend’s unique style and humor have already earned him recognition from his local BBC Introducing radio show, a coveted spot on the BBC Introducing stage at Boardmasters festival, and a live session on the BBC Introducing South West show. With each performance, he showcases his ability to captivate audiences with his charisma and talent.

His latest release, “Harry,” is produced by Gold Blend himself. The song’s hook plays on the iconic Harry Potter quote, “You’re a wizard, Harry,” showcasing Gold Blend’s clever lyricism and pop-culture awareness.

In a world where rap is predominantly associated with the city environments, Gold Blend is breaking barriers and taking his unique style and humor to a wider audience.

With recent releases like “Udders” and “Harry,” this new talent in the UK rap scene is poised to capture the attention of music lovers and industry professionals alike, proving that great talent can come from the most unexpected places.
