The Television show concept usually resolves around a giant mystery, the solution revealed in the final episode of the season – like the BBC’s And Then There were None. However for a forthcoming Italian mystery series, such a concept may never be solved. Italian film and TV production company Wildside announced that it is working on an adaption of the Neapolitan novel series written by author Elena Ferrante.

The four series book centres around the intense life long bond between two women, Lila and Elena, set over fifty years in a changing Italy.

Each of the four books will be adapted into a eight-episode season, the producer working with fellow producer Fandango to bring the project to fruition and considering the commercial and critical success of the series, this will be a closely watched and anticipated project no matter what happens to it.
