Wasn’t this a children’s book? From one powerful woman character to another, Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke has thrown her name into the top hat to play the female version of James Bond. Speaking to the Daily Star, the actress commented:
“I have a lot of unrealised dreams. I would love to play Jane Bond. My ultimate leading man would be Leonardo DiCaprio. No doubt about it.”
Clarke made the comments whilst promoting her first venture into romance with her drama Me Before You. Though I like Catherine Shoard, The Guardian’s film editor find this concept hard to stomach. In this world of women leaders effecting real progress is it worth putting an old one in an new suit?
