Eminem Fires Back At Being Cancelled In Animated Video For ‘Tone Deaf’ | Music News

Veteran Detroit rapper Eminem has released an animated video for his latest single “Tone Deaf” from the 2020 album Music To Be Murdered By”.

Over the past few weeks, a TikTok campaign has asked for the cancellation of the Grammy and Oscar-winning rapper over his 2010 hit “Love the Way You Lie” with Rihanna. Indeed, users thought that the lyrics were about the glorification of domestic abuse.

Nevertheless, the rapper has been pushing back against those who want him cancelled. He fired back at his critics with this video. Dealing with this, he said via Twitter: “I won’t stop even when my hair turns grey cause they won’t stop until they cancel me”.

During this video, viewers are taken on a wild trip through his rocky past and refusal to water down his lyrics, styled in the Grand Theft Auto game style.

Earlier this year, Eminem was already in a center of some scandal with Rihanna. Indeed, he apologized to the singer about the “Zeus” song, which contained some rough lyrics about her past relationship with the rapper Chris Brown.

“Tone Deaf” is the second video from the Music To Be Murdered By (Side B) album, after Eminem previously released his “Higher” visuals as part of the UFC 257: Poirier vs. McGregor fight event back in January.

We can say that the 48 years old rapper is off to a flying start for this new year! `
