British singer/songwriter and producer Emmavie has revealed her first single “High Off This” from her upcoming debut album Honeymoon, which will be out on 22 August.
As the artist herself says, her music is a “unique blend of Electronic infused R&B/Hip Hop/Soul music”. She has taken inspiration from many different artists, such as The Neptunes, Dorian Concept or Erykah Badu to create this “limitless, soulful, future R&B”.
Emmavie has been making her way into the musical industry and making collaborations with domestic and international artists like Budgie, IAMNOBODI and Nick Grant. Plus, lots of specialists in the music industry have given her credits, including R&B= ambassador DJ Ace and Future Bounce pioneer Jamz Supernova.
Her track “Rather Be” was BBC 1Xtra’s Weekend Anthem last December and US rapper Joe Budden selected her song “OOPS” as his sleeper track on The Joe Budden Podcast this past April. English radio presenter Julie Adenuga described Emmavie’s vocals as “easily my favourite” and played her track “LETTER” live on air on Beats 1.
Her single “High Off This” is a song for lovers, an ode to the extraordinary feeling you get when you are in love. It is a single inspired in the 2000 R&B production that brings back kind of the Amerie’s early work vibes.
Maybe you can’t relate with the song’s message because you have never been in love yet, but that will definitely change when you listen to it and fall in love with her amazing voice, style and talent!
