Essex Songstress Elle Novella Releases Eccentric New Single ‘Poison’ | Music News

Essex singer and songwriter Elle Novella is back with her eccentric new single titled “Poison“, following on from her debut single “Shake Me”, which was released to rave reviews from the likes of BBC Essex and TalkRadio, among others.

Inspired by the likes of Kate Bush and Fleetwood Mac, Elle Novella describes her music as a unique vintage-pop sound with classic rock, jazz and soul sensibilities. Described as taking her cues from silky pop production and incorporating her own elements of synth, indie and alternative music, as can be heard on this new track “Poison”.

“Poison” was crafted with rising producer Anthony Trueman and engineer Felix Davis, who has worked with Lana Del Rey and Youngr, among others, and is taken from Elle’s forthcoming debut EP titled Visions. It is an unconventional, dark pop song which discusses the inability to escape a poisonous relationship.

An English Literature graduate, Elle has always had an interest in art and storytelling. This is visible through her unique and poetic lyrics. Elle changes identities and narrative point of view with every song. As a writer she masters the craft of shedding her own ego, diving into the soul of another person and experiencing the world from that point of view.
