Julienne was born and raised on the Finnish coast, where she found her first source of inspiration in the strong connection to nature. Her music began to take shape in gloomy, acoustic feelings enveloped in electronic beats when she was surrounded by huge Nordic forests and fantasy lakes.
Julienne afterwards relocated to Brighton, UK, where she released her first successful single, “Down We Go” in July 2019 and broke into the indie-pop market with her unique style. Her music has received widespread national exposure in Finland, as well as BBC Introducing in the United Kingdom.
Julienne creates an organic sound engulfed by deep emotion by striking a balance between electronic texture and a raw acoustic sensation.
A surge of emotions characterises her new single “Routine”, which comes with an energising Scandinavian sound. Between gloomy spring mornings and late summer nights on the balcony, the song was born. It’s the tingling sensation of new love, as well as the accompanying uncertainty. When you’re driving late at night and need all the feels, this is the song to listen to.
To me, what makes this particular song stand out is the balance between electronic texture and a raw acoustic feeling, Julienne creates an organic sound encompassed by deep emotion.
Speaking about “Routine”, Julienne says the track “is a rush of emotions. A new, fresh Nordic sound. The song emerged somewhere in between melancholic spring mornings and late summer nights on the balcony. It’s the tingling feeling of new love and the uncertainty that comes with it. For the late night drives when you need all the feels“.
