With youngster Tom Holland’s debut in Marvel’s upcoming Captain America: Civil War feeling closer than ever, we’re finally getting a first glimpse of the newly appointed Spider-Man on the movie’s set. Marvel studio’s co-president Louis D’Esposito revealed a photo via Twitter; which shows him sitting alongside Peter Parker (a.k.a Spider-Man) himself.
Curiously the pair are seated in the Quinjet – a feature that hasn’t yet been confirmed to be in the film; meaning several theories have evolved regarding where and why this photo was taken. One rather simple possibility is that Civil War could be undergoing re-shoots, another factor that hasn’t been confirmed. Another (and admittedly rather crazy one) is that they could be seated on the Milano for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, as filming is set to begin very shortly in Atlanta – I rather doubt it.
Currently, Spidey’s appearance in Civil War has remained a guarded secret; with his own solo movie set for 2017, here’s hoping his stepping-stone appearance in Civil War will start Holland off on the right track. See the Twitter photo below and catch Civil War on 29 April.
