Everybody is focusing on David Yates returning to the world of wizards with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, but many forget the Harry Potter director has another film out in 2016. That would be The Legend of Tarzan, a new interpretation on the classic Edgar Rice Burroughs character, which has remained out of the public spotlight until these two new promotional photos were released. The photos feature True Blood star Alexander Skaarsgard as the titular ape-man and The Wolf of Wall Street‘s Margot Robbie as his love Jane Porter.
Also starring Christoph Waltz, Samuel L. Jackson, Djimon Honsou and John Hurt, The Legend of Tarzan is an original story set after Tarzan left the jungles of Africa behind to be with Jane. Called back to the congo as a trade emisarry for the British parliment, Tarzan finds himself caught in a revenge scheme by Waltz’s villainous Captain Rom. Warner Bros is set to release The Legend of Tarzan on July 1, 2016.
